   I was seriously thinking about the Pre getting around to shopping for a new phone by reading some reviews and remembered the Pre. I believed that it would be sold out once I got free from taking the dog to the Vet that morning (which I would miss the launch). So, I went to a tiny Sprint Store – which, was coincidently independently owned and thus didn’t have any.

   Hopped in the car, and went to a Sprint Corporate Store. By this time it was 2:30 or so in the afternoon. The Palm Advocate there, helped me out and we played around with the phone for a bit while he answered some questions. And it was then that I decided that I’d put my name on the waitlist – still thinking that they were sold out.

   Apparently, they were and I put my name on the wait list. But while putting my name down on the waitlist – one guy refused to buy his two for some random – weird reason. And I got one of the ‘golden tickets’ I mean, Pre reservation slips. So, by about 4 that afternoon, I was a new Sprint Customer with a brand new Pre.

   Pretty painless, I say.

   Thanks for sharing your buying experience, Dlanna! It must have come as a great surprise to be able to pick one up that very afternoon, given their limited quantities. How are you liking your Pre so far?

   You know I was seriously surprised given how I pretty much reached the foregone conclusion that it would have been sold out. I suppose I was just really lucky on Saturday to snap up the one that someone ended up not taking afterall.

   Anyway, I’m really liking it. It’s pretty much summed up in the word ‘wow.’ I do a lot of things in the cloud so it’s really nice to have a phone that I don’t have to keep kicking in the cloud to get anything done. The Multitasking is great. And you know what, I don’t even mind the keyboard.

   I have to finish connecting all the sites I use on a daily basis but I can say already that I love it. I think the one thing about it – is that now I want even more out of the Synnergy technology. Connect Skype, ICQ, MSN, Y!M IM names. Like I see what it can do, I can see the possibilities (which is what I guess I’m getting at here). Which is probably the most exciting thing about the webOS right now.
