Having breathed new life into the tired lungs of Palm with the successful launch of the Pre and webOS, John Rubinstein has now been named as Ed Colligan’s successor as Palm’s new CEO. As reported over at phonearena, Ed Colligan will join Elevation Partners, the private-equity firm that has infused Palm with cash for the past two years. Even though Rubinstein will be the head honcho, Colligan will still be part of the picture.
John Rubinstein brings nearly ten years of engineering and design experience from Apple where he was instrumental in designing the iPod. For Palm, he has been a part of the design of webOS and the new Pre, Palm’s first webOS device. Congratulations, Mr. Rubinstein! Please continue the innovation!
