Nothing detracts from the gorgeous elegance of the Palm Pre quite like a scratched-up screen. The Pre’s touchscreen is made of plastic, and unlike a glass display (like the one on the iPhone), a plastic one is very susceptible to scratches. Due to the small size of the Pre, it’s easy to throw in your pocket or purse, but is it the only thing you carry there?

If your Pre is keeping company with loose change, car keys, or other hard or sharp objects, then the tragedy you see on the left may play out for you as well. This unfortunate soul carried around his Pre in his front pocket for just a few days and then documented the wear and tear of his Pre’s screen as a warning to the rest of us.
