We are still waiting with bated breath for Palm to approve more apps and make them available in the App Catalog, but that certainly doesn’t slow down the likes of the Wikimedia Foundation from officially launching a mobile optimized version of Wikipedia for high-end smartphones. The current version of Wikipedia supports the Palm Pre, iPhone, Kindle and Android platforms. The mobile version of Wikipedia plays very well with the Pre. Users are automatically redirected to the mobile version with the option at the bottom of the web page to view the standard page or disable the mobile version permanently.
