Hey, this sure is one catchy title up there, but do you know what the best part is? It might be real… We know that Howard Stern said he prefers the Bold to the Pre, but it seems that our favorite movie star, Angelina Jolie, likes webOS much more than iPhone OS, at least according to a production assistant on the set of Salt – an upcoming espionage thriller. In addition, another feature she is said to like is the QWERTY keyboard, with the only drawback that the keys aren’t big enough.  When it comes to the screen, she seems to like the image quality, but also notes that it might be too easy to scratch.

And while the Pre has been enjoying the attention of the loving hands of Lara Croft herself, the device has also appeared on Sprint’s Mobile Business site, giving yet another sign that the actual release is drawing nearer. Sadly, no official date or price have been mentioned.

In a move that appears to have backfired all over the faces of Palm executives, radio personality Howard Stern was given a Palm Pre to test out. The idea was to give him the device at his home, let him play with all of that yummy Pre goodness that everyone is expecting the handset to have, and then talk about it on his radio show. It would be like running free commercials, what could go wrong? After all, Stern has a Palm Treo so surely this was a no-brainer, right? Wrong. After testing out the Pre, the shock-jock decided on the BlackBerry Bold as his next cellphone because, according to Stern, the Palm Pre was a nice phone but it could not connect to Lotus Notes.  I’m sure Stern will change his opinion once the Pre launches…

It is not only Eliza Dushku that got to play with the Pre and show it off to others – Palm has a Facebook gallery with pictures of other celebrities playing with the phone and wowing at the webOS system.

According to the comments to one of the pictures, after Michael Bolton saw the portrait and landscape view, he said, “If you’ve been drinking, it also works like this,”. Lord of the Rings’s Dominic Monaghan knew about the phone demoed it to Billy Boyd and said he’ll get one of these. I’m wondering, will we wait until May, or will he be blessed to have one in his hands before the ordinary people? Dominic, please email me if you do! Sandra Oh of Grey’s Anatomy said she’s eager to use it on the show, so we’re looking forward to the next season!
